Counselling

Life at Concordia presents many new experiences, opportunities, and challenges that require evaluation, decisions, and adjustments. Most of these are exciting situations to which students will adjust easily and confidently. Yet often it is helpful to know there are people with whom students can freely discuss a situation or to whom they can turn for advice or information.

Student Services provides free counselling for students in five different areas.

Academic Advising

The Registrar's Office provides advising regarding course selection, course loads, adding and dropping courses and degree planning.  Contact the Registrar’s Office registrar@concordia.ab.ca.

Career Services

Concordia’s coordinator for Career Services provides students with workshops and personal counselling to assist them in identifying their career goals and the educational and other resources available to enable them to achieve these goals.

Concordia's Career Centre, located in the Arnold Guebert Library, has information on education and career options, as well as job postings.  Job opportunities are also posted on the following bulletin boards:

  • Board Number 7 for volunteering opportunities is located at Alumni Hall, beside A212.
  • Board Number 8 for job postings is located at Alumni Hall, between A208-A and A210.

Further information about Career Services can be viewed at the Career Services web page. (External Link)
