On Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m., in the Robert Tegler Student Centre, Jubiloso!, conducted by Dr. John Hooper, will present their spring festival concert.
The ensemble members have been invited to be artists-in-residence for an American Handbell Festival in Keystone, Colorado. Jubiloso was selected by the Colorado festival planning committee after submitting their application materials. While there, the members of the ensemble will not only perform, but teach classes on handbell technique and application. In addition Jubiloso!’s director, Dr. John Hooper, will be the massed ringing conductor at the Colorado festival. The festival will be held from April 17-19. Jubiloso members have assumed costs of their attendance in addition to preparing workshops and performances. This pre-tour concert will include the sounds of Asia, Africa, and America to portrayals of religious themes and boisterous carnivals!
